The fourth season of Kingdomis set to premiere sometime in April, the anime’s official website announced on Wednesday.
The series will be broadcast on NHK General on April 9 and air regularly during the 24:00 time slot. A new teaser visual featuring Sei Kyou was released alongside the announcement, with the tagline; “I’m next”, accompanying it.
Second Season of Edens Zero Anime Announced
Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine as part of the Young Jump Comics imprint. Theseries began its run in 2006 and has been collected into 63 tankōbon volumes throughout its run so far. The series has sold approximately 84 million copies as of November 2021, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
The Kingdom anime adaptation first premiered during the Summer 2012 season. The first season ran for 38 episodes, followed by a 39 episode second season a year later and a 26 episode third season in 2020. The series is animated by Pierrot, with IKIF+ contributing during the first two seasons, and Studio Signpost taking over that role from season 3 onwards.
Jun Kamiya (Blue Seed, Let's Make a Mug Too) served as the series director for the first season, with Akira Iwanaga (Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest, When They Cry: Kai), Kenichi Imaizumi (Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!) and Kazuya Monma (Fate/Apocrypha, Cestvs: The Roman Fighter) taking over for the second and third seasons respectively.
Naruhisa Arakawa (D.N.Angel, Twin Star Exorcists) handled the series composition for the first two seasons, and was replaced by Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy, Durarara!!x2 Ketsu) for the third season and will return to work on the fourth. Minako Seki (The Silver
