The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian denied allegations that she caused damage to Marilyn Monroe's dress. Fashion historian Scott Fortner alleged that the iconic dress had rips, tears and missing crystals after Kim donned it on the steps of the Met. The iconic dress was worn by Marilyn during her famous crooning of “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Many, including Bob, joined in Scott's criticism that it was highly irresponsible to loan the dress. Amanda Joiner, Ripley’s Vice President of Publishing and Licensing, was with the dress from Orlando to New York and all day at the gala. She previously stated that the gown was in the same condition the entire time. Ripley’s further denied that Kim damaged the dress by maintaining she was never alone with the dress and was given the proper briefing on wearing it.
