Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gameplay was shown recently during The Game Awards 2021, and there's a certain moment in the trailer featuring King Shark that seemingly emulates a moment from James Gunn's The Suicide Squad movie. King Shark is along for the ride in KTJL’s story with fellow antiheroes Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn, making up the infamous Task Force X commanded by Amanda Waller.

Even then, skepticism was rife, as the gameplay from Beyond Good and Evil 2 looked prototypical. The years since have not done much to counter that skepticism, with Beyond Good and Evil creator Michel Ancel departing the project and Ubisoft entirely. Yet, despite all implications otherwise, reports claim that Beyond Good and Evil 2 remains in development.
