While Red Dead Redemption 2 may have stolen a lot of the first game's thunder, with Arthur Morgan becoming a cherished video games protagonist, many still fondly recall the equally charismatic John Marston. The outlaw gang member was the star of the first Red Dead Redemption, which released way back in 2010, in a game that blew many away, not just with its Dead Eye but in how the game told an epic story in such a confident and original manner.
It certainly helped that the actor who played John Marston possesses such a memorable and distinctive voice. Along many roads, usually atop a trusty steed, did players hear Marston chewing the fat with friends and foe alike, in that raspy, husky voice, all the way until that unforgettable end.

Those who haven't completed Marston's story are advised to turn away now, but those who have will know the fate that befalls him. The tragic end to his tale, despite his great toils over the course of the game. But those who've missed Marston's voice have the chance to hear it again. He may have died in 1911, at the ripe old age of 38, but Marston has been resurrected in 2022! He yet lives! He's just pivoted to selling tanning beds.
On Reddit, a Professional_Realist posted a smartphone video recording of John Marston speaking in a radio commercial. "Make it a Total Tan Spring Break with an awesome tale," he says, with that trademark rasp. "Look good, feel good", he continues, before offering what sounds like a terrific deal.
"Buy ten sessions and get two free, or buy five and get one free", Marston says.
Of course, it may well be that it's another voice actor reading out this incredible tanning bed
