Joe Millionaire: Calah Jackson Explains Why She Comes Across As Closed Off

Joe Millionaire's Kurt Sowers and Steven McBee have had trouble getting to know contestant Calah Jackson, and she explained on Twitter why she comes across as closed off. While the bachelors may have made closer connections with some other women throughout the season, Calah has made it to the final four. Both men were interested in continuing to get to know the Texas native, however, in the latest episode, she decided she was more interested in furthering a relationship with Steven. It was on their date that the contestant finally seemed to come out of her shell and reciprocate the bachelor's feelings.

While Kurt and Steven were both interested in Calah throughout the season, they began to nickname her «the curious case of Calah Jackson» as no matter how hard they tried, she didn't seem to want to open up to them. However, her inability to be vulnerable didn't weaken their connection to her. They kept sending her through to the next round of the competition week after week as they had faith that eventually she would let them in. However, fans at home were also beginning to wonder why the contestant had remained so closed off week after week.

Calah took to Twitter to explain to Joe Millionaire fans the reason she struggles to be open on the show. One fan from the show tweeted in Calah's defense to which the star replied, "It takes time for me to let someone in and be completely vulnerable because of my past experiences. Add in 20 cameras in your face 24/7 to the mix and you’ll get “the curious case of Calah Jackson." Many of the show's stars have spoken out about the difficulties of being filmed all day long and how it has affected them.
