Netflix has shared the official Jentry Chau vs. the Underworld trailer for the upcoming fantasy animated series, which hails from lead star and executive producer Ali Wong. It is scheduled to start streaming on December 5, 2024.
“It follows Jentry Chau, a Chinese-American teen living in a small Texas town, who finds out a demon king is hunting her for the supernatural powers she’s been working her whole life to repress,” reads the synopsis. “With the help of her weapons expert great-aunt and a millennia-old jiangshi (Chinese hopping vampire), Jentry must now fight an entire underworld’s worth of monsters while balancing the horrors of high school.”

The trailer features a snippet of the Netflix show’s main theme song titled “Flame,” which is the newest single by rising girl group Katseye. This marks the six-member group’s first song with Korean lyrics, after five months since making their official debut. Katseye is a diverse US-based girl group formed through a reality competition show produced by BTS’ label company HYBE and Geffen Records.
