It Takes Two will be released for Nintendo Switch on November 4, 2022.
The announcement was made during a Nintendo Direct presentation on Tuesday.
Developed by Hazelight Studios and published by Electronic Arts, the game was originally released for PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles in March 2021.
The co-op adventure tells the story of a husband and wife seemingly headed for divorce, who are forced to work together to escape a fantastical world after being transformed by magic into living dolls.
It Takes Two has sold over three million copies and won several high-profile awards.
The title took the top prize at The Game Awards 2021, where it scooped three awards including the coveted Game of the Year.
Variety claimed in April that It Takes Two, which was made available via Xbox Game Pass last November, had reached over 10 million players.
Hazelight announced in January that it had teamed up with dj2 Entertainment, the production company behind the Sonic the Hedgehog films, to adapt It Takes Two for film and TV.
Sonic movie writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller will serve as executive producers on the movie, as will Hazelight founder and creative director Josef Fares, and studio manager Oskar Wolontis.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson could star in the film.
