Sable wowed when the first images were shown. Here was a game that possessed a genuinely unique style that made it look like a cinematic cartoon, while the large stylised landscapes appealed to a sense of adventure, for Sable offered open world exploration and a really cool bike (actually a hovercraft). That it later added a photo mode just opened things up even more.
Developed by indie studio Shedworks, Sable has been available only on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC since it launched around this time last year, but an announcement confirms that PlayStation 5 owners will soon be able to play the game.

Sable will arrive on the PS5 sometime later this year, although no exact date is yet specified, you can now wishlist it on the PS Store, while PS5 players will get several new features (thanks Pushsquare).
For example, Sable on PS5 will make use of the DualSense's special abilities, so expect haptic feedback when you power up your hoverbike, which we called the game's "crowning jewel". In addition, there is a new fishing minigame and there are fish and insects to gather to add to a vivarium. There is also an all-new Angler Mask to find.
In our review, our editor-in-chief Stacey Henley called Sable "gorgeous", with the game trying very hard to create an atmosphere that inspires exploration, a sense of freedom and the "indefinable appeal of endless possibilities". However, she also found that the game could be frustratingly empty and drab, and the gameplay directionless — which means the addition of some new content should be very welcome for the PS5 port.
