Warhammer 40K: Battlesector and Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate — Daemonhuntershave both been solid entries to the Warhammer 40K franchise but some question which is the better game. Both entries have very different feels despite their shared setting and factions. However, both have been praised since release, leaving which is a better game very much in the hands of player preference.
Warhammer 40K: Battlesector is a turn-based battle simulator game where the player takes control of armies of the Blood Angel Space Marines, Tyranids, or Necrons (in DLC). The gameplay is much more focused on large-scale army battles and feels more akin to the tabletop game that it is based on. The game has a single-player campaign that focuses on the Blood Angels as they defend against a Tyranid invasion. Counter to other Warhammer games that have been hurting the brand, Battlesector was released to critical acclaim in 2021. The graphical design is pleasing and lends well to the gritty atmosphere of the planet. Standout features are a solid story campaign and a high degree of customization that lends well to replayability.

Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate — Daemonhunters is a much more intimate experience, focusing intensely on small-scale skirmishes with a small squad of highly customizable Space Marines. The gameplay is reminiscent of XCOM, wherein individual units are upgraded and pitted against small groups of deadly enemies. For fans of the tabletop, the game resembles Kill Team, which places small squads of units against each other that grow individually as battles take place. The standout features of the game are its story, which includes Andy Serkis in Warhammer 40K:
