iQOO Neo 6 marks the debut of the Neo series of phones in India — a family of phones that will focus on high-end specs for gaming without spending a bomb. Starting at a price of Rs. 29,999 for the base variant, the iQOO Neo 6 is right now among the most affordable smartphones using the flagship grade Snapdragon 870 chip. For gaming, there could be nothing better at this price, especially considering the fact that iQOO focuses on performance solely on its smartphones.
Hence, it was obvious for us to be curious and try out the iQOO Neo 6. We have been using the phone for a few days and so far, things have been looking good. But the iQOO Neo 6 cannot be judged solely on the basis of its gaming credentials, considering that you would want you Rs. 30,000 phone to be good at other things too. While a review is still a few days away, we have spent a few days and are happy to share our initial impressions.

We have often blamed smartphone brands of bringing the same boring and repetitive design to most of their phones, regardless of the price. iQOO has tried something different here, albeit mild. The phone at first glance looks like any of those Android phones in the sub-Rs. 30,000 space but a closer inspection reveals a new camera hump design that is in-between the small and big humps we have seen on previous iQOO devices. It looks fun and stands out, although I wish iQOO could have come up with a bright exciting colour alongside the two existing ones. The build quality seems fine and the matte finish adds to the overall experience.
