The upcoming Disney+ series Baymax! marks the return of Big Hero 6 filmmakers Don Hall, Roy Conli, and Bradford Simonsen, as well as actor Scott Adsit who lends his voice to the lovable healthcare companion, Baymax. Described as «delightful» in Game Rant's review, the six-episode series follows the robot as he navigates San Fransokyo to provide care to others.
In our exclusive chat with Adsit, we spoke about his experience reuniting with Big Hero 6 director Don Hall, his favorite character in the new series, his reaction to episode 3 which follows a young girl getting her period for the first time, and whether he gets to utilize his improv skills while voicing the beloved bot.

GR: What was it like to reunite with Don Hall almost a decade after Big Hero 6 was released?
Scott Adsit: We always stayed in contact because of our Baymax bond. We've always been very friendly and chat whenever we can. He told me about this [the series] at his birthday party, one or two years ago. He said, “Keep it under your hat, but I have an idea to get the big guy back on screen.” He wouldn't tell me what it was, but he said, “Don't ruin your voice between now and then.”
I was very excited. Any chance to get on the mic and be Baymax is a thrill because I love the character so much. I love how people respond to him. Knowing it was Don who was going to shepherd the whole thing—with the full CGI beauty that the movie had—was just like coming home.
GR: Throughout the series, the viewers meet many new characters. It's the way the show flows. What character are you most excited for fans to meet?
