Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week was filled with the usual stuff — devblogs, testing sessions, and Fntastic assuring us they are really making a game. Really, though, a 30-second CGI clip of driving a sports car? I guess the sauna scene wasn’t crazy enough. Anyway, let’s quit wasting time laughing about a hot tub simulator and sports car genre mashup and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
Pre-Alpha test #5 will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 13th and 14th. Instead of the previously scheduled PvP test, players will get a chance to do some settlement building. Although players have already been chosen for this test, you can sign up for future tests on the Anvil Empires’ Steam page .
The world of BitCraft is still under construction, and this week’s Twitter post transforms the placeholder image for the smelter into something game worthy.

Patch 3.4.0 went live this week. A quick look at the patch notes tells me this was more of a balance pass and bugfix patch with nothing major being added to the game.
I’m sure you already saw it, but Aussie gaming site WellPlayed had an exclusive interview with Fntastic’s co-founders. It appears the legal battle over the game’s name is still ongoing, yet the team is confident that the game will be back on Steam “soon.” There’s also a new trailer if you can call it that.
