As the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise celebrated its 30th-anniversary last year, many fans and creators gathered together to pay tribute to the long-running franchise. Sega even announced a brand-new title that will be coming out this year, Sonic Frontiers, which is an open-world adventure that is looking to shake things up in a big way. That was not the only way fans have celebrated the series, as another game that was released during Sonic's 10th anniversary turned 20 in 2021, that being Sonic Adventure 2.
According to many fans, Sonic Adventure 2 is one of the best games in the franchise, where it not only polished a lot of the 3D platforming that was in the first Sonic Adventures game, but also had one of the best stories at the time. It also introduced characters that would go on to become fan-favorites, such as Sonic's black and red rival Shadow the Hedgehog. With so much love surrounding this game, it's no surprise there would be some merchandise revolving around this entry, with the first look at a statue based on the game's iconic art.

This statue was revealed at Wonder Festival 2022, an event in Tokyo where many figure creation companies gather together and show off some future releases and upcoming productions. One of these companies was S-FIRE, where it specializes in creating dynamic action pose statues that recreate famous moments from anime and video games. While some based on properties like My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer were expected, one particular statue that caught many fans' eyes was the Sonic and Shadow Statue.
