Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure places four friends on a mysterious island filled with talking frogs and hidden secrets. Along with frogs, you will have the chance to tame a variety of creatures. These creatures will be able to do tasks that you can't, and can also be leveled up, increasing their star rating.

In this guide, we are going to go over how to increase the star rating of these creatures, as well as what benefits this provides. First, let's take a look at how to unlock these helpful critters.

To unlock new critters, you will first need to find them. For example, at the start of the game, you will need to clear a pirate outpost to free the Longhorns. This holds true for other creatures on the island. The Axepeckers, for example, will also need to be freed from a pirate outpost.
Once the outpost has been cleared and the associated creature is free, you can approach one to tame it. You will need to do this with each character if you want all four to have their own creature.
The star rating is essentially how 'strong' a creature is. Let's take a deeper look at Longhorns for this example. When you first unlock the Longhorn, they will have one star, which will be displayed in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. In the image above, you can see a Longhorn with two stars.
This means that the Longhorn can only handle one-star type rocks. When you approach a rock that can be destroyed, a Longhorn icon will appear above it along with the number of stars required to destroy it. Rocks that can be found
