The latest update toMeta's Quest 2 allows an Apple Magic Keyboard, which is almost always paired to a Mac computer. It's very unexpected for Meta and an Apple product to meet up like this, although the Quest can be paired to an iPhone to set up the headset. Of course, using a real keyboard while in virtual reality can be a bit tricky, but Meta managed to make it surprisingly easy.
Meta is the new name of Facebook, and as the owner of Oculus, it is now under the Meta umbrella. While Facebook kept Oculus as a separate brand, Meta is now a company that's focused on VR and AR (augmented reality). The Meta name appears on the Oculus website and will be used going forward on future hardware and software. Existing Oculus equipment continues to work, so this is just a name change and serves only to clarify the company's dedication to the concept of a Metaverse.

The Meta Quest 2 can now be connected to an Apple Magic Keyboard, and it provides a quick and easy way to enter text in the web browser, the Oculus Store, chat with friends, and more. Users must pair the Magic Keyboard and enable the Quest Hand Tracking to look down and see a virtual representation of a physical Apple Magic Keyboard in VR. Open the Settings on the Quest 2 headset to pair the keyboard, then select the Experimental Features tab on the left. 'Tracked Keyboard' is the setting to look for, and the Bluetooth Keyboard option will start the pairing process. To put the Magic Keyboard into pairing mode, switch off and back on again, then follow the instructions in the Quest headset to complete pairing.
