Elden Ring provides players with a challenging gaming experience that players can take on solo or with friends in Co-Op mode. However, like many previous FromSoftware games, the implementation of multiplayer in Elden Ring is quite unique. While invading other worlds might feel great, inviting other players to tackle the game’s challenges in Co-Op mode can sometimes feel clunky and bothersome. With this in mind, a modder named LukeYui has recently released the Seamless Co-Op mod for Elden Ring to streamline and simplify the cooperative multiplayer experience.
FromSoftware games have always been somewhat peculiar in their implementation of multiplayer mechanics. Although players can indeed group up with friends in the game, there are many limitations that make the process laborious. This is because any time one of the players dies, clears an area, or defeats a boss in Elden Ring, the game sends phantoms back to their world, forcing players to reconnect all over again.

With the Seamless Co-Op mod, players are no longer restricted by multiplayer zones, and dying in the game will simply have that player spawn back at the last Site of Grace they used in that world. Players will also be able to individually use their mount and even synchronize map waypoints, allowing them to navigate the Lands Between together more easily. This mod also ups phantom capacity by one, allowing players to team up in groups of four.
