The Real Housewives of Dubai has been criticized since Bravo announced the series last November, but some of the newest Real Housewives cast members say that Dubai has changed in notable and positive ways. The first installment, which premieres tonight, will introduce six women living in the United Arab Emirates: Nina Ali, Chanel Ayan, Caroline Brooks, Dr. Sara Al Madani, Lesa Milan, and Caroline Stanbury (she previously starred in Ladies of London).
While the «Godfather of Bravo,» executive producer Andy Cohen, has been expressing his excitement about The Real Housewives of Dubai for months, there are certain Dubai residents who aren't sharing his sentiments. It's no secret that the capital of UAE has become known for its lavish opulence, but locals are claiming that RHODubai will not accurately represent its population of 3 million. Dubai's government is known for its repeated human rights violations, especially against women and LGBTQ+. Since these groups make up much of Bravo's fanbase, it's no surprise that RHODubai is already treading on thin ice.

The UAE is considered one of the most conservative and restrictive countries in the world. However, some RHODubai cast membersrecently explained that Dubai is rapidly changing. According to the incoming Bravo cast, the City of Gold's newest developments are a good thing.
