Guerrilla Games has released a lengthy behind-the-scenes trailer for Horizon: Forbidden West that showcases its cast of actors as they discuss some of the details that went in to bringing their characters to life. The trailer focuses on six actors who will be heavily featured in the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn sequel and, although it doesn't go into much detail about the story other than what's already been seen in other trailers, the seven-minute video highlights one thing that ties all the characters together: Aloy.
Reprising her role as Aloy for Horizon: Forbidden West, Ashly Burch points out some differences between working on the first game and what it's been like coming back for a sequel. Since Horizon Zero Dawn was released in 2017, the industry, specifically a lot of first-party Sony titles, has taken a new approach to putting together cinematic-looking cutscenes by having actors on a stage together doing the motion capture themselves. It's easy to see when looking back at Zero Dawn and comparing many of its cutscenes to what's been shown off so far of Forbidden West the kind of difference in quality that Burch is referencing.

Also returning for Horizon: Forbidden West, Lance Reddick, John MacMillan, and John Hopkins give some insight into their characters. Reddick highlights the way that Sylens views his intelligence while both MacMillan and Hopkins discuss how their characters have grown since meeting Aloy in the first game.
