We already knew we were going to see more Horizon Call of the Mountain tonight, but we didn't realise just how much we were in store for. The new trailer for the game showed off first-person robot dinosaur combat as well as some slick looking climbing and traversal. Here's a full breakdown of what we know now.
The game definitely isn't on rails like the first trailer suggested. A large robot knocks the canoe over and sends you into the river. We get a glimpse of our protagonist climbing out of the water and then pushing some foliage aside with their VR hands.

There's then a lot of clips showing off an impressive new world and intense dinosaur combat. We see the player fighting what looks like a thin mouthed version of the crocodile Snapjaw, as well as the terrifying Thunderjaw, which looks ridiculously imposing in VR.
Don't worry, you won't have to fight off the robot menace with your bare (VR) hands. We saw the player using a bow and arrow, now a staple of the Horizon series, and a smaller crossbow-looking device.
It was also announced that an update for Horizon Forbidden West is live now. It features New Game plus as well as a host of fixes and improvements.
We already know that Horizon Call of the Mountain will be a PSVR 2 launch title, along with over 20 other games. It could be VRs Breath of the Wild. Call of the Mountain will feature a brand-new protagonist as well as new locations. It's "unique, new Horizon experience," said Guerrilla studio director Jan-Bart van Beek. "One that has been built, from the ground up, for PlayStation's next-gen VR hardware."
