The most recent PlayStation State of Play for the upcoming action RPG title Harry Potter: Hogwarts Legacy revealed a large amount of details about the game. Not only did the event unveil the release window of Hogwarts Legacy, but it also showcased a variety of exciting new features. This includes character creation, a brief story premise, student activities within Hogwarts and, of course, the exploration of areas surrounding the magical school. In the trailer, it was revealed that players will also be able to explore the popular village of Hogsmeade, its outskirts, and more.
Though fans likely felt that the development progress of Hogwarts Legacyhad been up in the air in 2021 due to several rumors and leaks circulating online, the devs made it a point to put any wrong information to rest. The recent State of Play likely also did its job to reassure that fans will be getting the whole Wizarding World experience in 2022. Given that Hogwarts Legacy was only announced in 2020, fans are probably excited to play the video game only two years after it was first revealed to the public.
Hogwarts Legacy Broom Flights Get Brief Gameplay Segment
In the 14-minute gameplay trailer of Hogwarts Legacy, it was revealed that players will be able to explore areas outside the grounds of Hogwarts. This includes the bustling village of Hogsmeade. According to the trailer, players will need to visit the area to shop and gather supplies needed for their schoolwork. This includes potion ingredients, recipes, and even unique outfits to polish the player's complete character customization in Hogwarts Legacy. However, the trailer did not indicate if the outfits and gear will involve microtransactions in the future.
