Last week's PlayStation State of Play brought Harry Potter fans a wealth of information on the upcoming singleplayer adventure game Hogwarts Legacy. From the spells players can use to a look at some of the game's open-world, Hogwarts Legacy has a lot to offer Harry Potter fans who are looking for an authentic Hogwarts experience. Until the State of Play reveal, Hogwarts Legacy hadn't shown much in terms of how the game would play and what it would include. Now though, fans of the Wizarding World have plenty to look forward to in the upcoming title.
Some have even said that there may be too much content coming to Hogwarts Legacy, with worries growing around developer Avalanche spreading itself too thin. Many though, are still very hyped for the upcoming release of the game, especially where the Hogwarts Legacy's story is concerned. Set long before the events of the books and movies, Hogwarts Legacy takes players to the 1800s, meaning that even old characters like Dumbledore are highly unlikely to appear.
Playing Quidditch May Not Be Part of Hogwarts Legacy
For some fans, this distance from both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises is a good thing, as it will allow an entirely new story to be told. However, this does not mean that Hogwarts Legacy won't have some nods to famous Harry Potter characters. From the snippets of story that were revealed at the State of Play event, viewers were shown the villains of the game. Victor Rookwood is a dark wizard and Ranrok the goblin leads the goblin rebellion. Already, due to Rookwood's status as a dark wizard, some fans are already connecting him to Voldemort's Death Eaters.
