A photo from the set of Disney's Hocus Pocus 2 shows the Sanderson Sisters' childhood home. The world was first introduced to Winnie (Bette Midler), Mary (Kathy Najimy), and Sarah Sanderson (Sarah Jessica Parker) in the 1993 family flick Hocus Pocus. Nearly three decades later, the wicked witches who vied to live forever, have been immortalized as Halloween icons. Fans of the movie have grown hungry for more, hoping to see all three Hocus Pocus stars reprise their spooky alter egos. In 2020, Disney granted their collective wish, announcing that a follow-up film was in the works.
Excitement grew when Midler, Najimy, and Parker were confirmed to star in Hocus Pocus 2. Helmed by director Anne Fletcher (The Proposal), the production filmed across a fake Salem set in Rhode Island during the Fall of 2021. Locals and eager aficionados leaked Hocus Pocus 2 photos and videos of the outdoor shoots online, gifting the world the first glimpses at the upcoming spooktacular. One location included an entire colonial town erected on Chase Farm in Lincoln, Rhode Island. The structures made it clear that, like its predecessor, Hocus Pocus 2 will go back to the 1600s at some point.
