Crossovers are nothing new in the sphere of video game fan art. Gamers often create impressive works of art that imagine what it would look like if two popular franchises were blended together. Recently, one passionate fan came up with an interesting crossover between the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Pokemon franchise.
In a post on Reddit, a user by the name of ChuggernautChug recently posted a picture based on the Pokemon series. However, this fan art stood out for one striking reason; they had used various Pokemon to reimagine the logos of the teams in the NHL. Impressively, they managed to come up with unique Pokemon redesigns for each of the 32 teams in the league.

While the NHL and the Pokemon franchise might seem like two things that would not go together, that did not stop ChuggernautChug from making incredible Pokemon-themed logos for each team. Some of the pocket monsters featured in the picture included Gengar representing the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ursaluna for the Minnesota Wild, and Tentacruel for the Seattle Kraken, just to name a few. In addition to the different Pokemon on display, the logo for the NHL had been redesigned to resemble a Poke Ball.
In addition to showing off the Pokemon artwork in a picture on Reddit, ChuggernautChug revealed the origin of the project. According to the Reddit user, they had been working on the various Pokemon-themed designs for nearly a year. They noted that the artwork was part of a project they had done for a fantasy league they were involved in.
