Mega64 is among the longest-running YouTube channels, with its earliest videos being uploaded back in 2006. The channel has uploaded different «Sweded» videos over the years, which are brief retellings of different video games and anime, including Final Fantasy VII, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Metal Gear Solid. The first Dragon Ball Z Sweded video was «The Frieza Saga in 5 Minutes» from 2015, where the multi-episode Dragon Ball Z Saga was retold with cheap costumes, toys, The Lord of the Rings-style perspective tricks, and plenty of fast cuts. It was followed by «The Cell Saga in 5 Minutes» in 2018, which is the most popular video on the channel to date, having garnered over 11 million views.
