Apple is known for its artsy, pleasant-to-the-eyes advertisements that showcase its roster of popular gadgets. These ads usually depict a snapshot of what everyday life could be like with the latest Apple product in hand while also raising up its most notable features, encouraging fans of the brand who haven't managed to procure the highlighted device yet to do so. They also manage to introduce songs they use as soundtracks into the mainstream, sometimes resulting in overnight success for the artists behind them.
One of the more recent entertaining Apple ads that showcased both the product and the song in the background featured a man wearing AirPods Pro, jumping rope to the snappy tune of "Fallin'" by Young Franco. Another demonstrated Apple Music's spatial audio capabilities through a woman jamming out to Masego & Don Toliver's "Mystery Lady". In the spot entitled "Doin' Laps", a kid in his bicycle gear sets a red iPhone 13 on a phone mount. As the kid begins his morning journey around the neighborhood, recording the whole thing in video selfie mode through his iPhone's camera, a catchy track begins playing with the lyrics "I look real good today" repeating on a loop. The camera pans out and hilariously reveals that rather than cruising around several different streets, the kid on the bike is merely—and quite aptly—doing laps around a cul-de-sac for what seemed like hours.
