HBO has published a preview trailer for the sixth episode of The Last of Us.
Viewable below, the teaser for the show’s next episode shows Joel and his brother Tommy reuniting.
While reflecting on their shared past, Tommy laments the pair committing murder after the outbreak of the pandemic, while Joel reasons that they were just doing what they needed to survive.
After episode five aired earlier than usual to avoid a clash with the Super Bowl, this week’s episode will return to its regular time slot. It will premiere on Sunday February 19 at 9pm ET / Monday February 20 at 2am GMT.
HBO has yet to release viewing figures for episode five, but prior to its release, audience figures had grown every week since the show launched, peaking with 7.5 million viewers for episode four.
The Last of Us is produced and written by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann, who also co-wrote and directed the game series.
Over the course of nine episodes, its debut season will cover the events of The Last of Us, which was released for PS3 in 2013, and its downloadable expansion The Last of Us: Left Behind, which arrived the following year.
HBO recently renewed The Last of Us for a second season.
Earlier this month Sony delayed the PC release of The Last of Us Part 1 from March 3 to March 28.
It means the PC version of the remake will arrive a few weeks after the conclusion of the HBO show, which is due to air its final episode on March 12.
