Hangman Adam Page has been doing a lot of callouts ahead of AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door, with his latest target being retired professional wrestlers who speak poorly about the modern product on podcasts. Since losing to CM Punk at Double Or Nothing, the former AEW World Champion has been searching for his dream match for Forbidden Door.
A triple-threat bout is being teased for that pay-per-view, where the Anxious Millienal Cowboy could end up squaring off with Kazuchika Okada and Adam Cole. Okada is being talked about like he won't be on the card at all, but it's tough to imagine an NJPW event taking place on North American soil without him. Meanwhile, Page took to Twitter to fire a shot at former performers who are knocking the modern era—of which there are plenty.

From his @theAdamPage handle, he tweeted the following: "i just hope that when im old and retired i don’t lower myself to some shit ass podcast where i trash the younger generation that’s just chasing the same fortune wrestling has afforded me [sic]." The comment instantly generated waves on Twitter.
While Page doesn't name any names in his tweet, it isn't hard to connect the dots between him and comments that were made by Booker T earlier in the week. Booker T spoke about Page's friend, Adam Cole, and how he needed to put on some muscle so as to not get injured anymore. Cole has been sidelined since winning the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament at Double Or Nothing, and while he's being teased forForbidden Door, AEW has been oddly reluctant to pull the trigger on any particular match.
