Halo Infinite finally launched in late 2021 and has had a mixed start to life. 343 launching its multiplayer mode a month early and making it free-to-play was a big early win for the game. However, news that its co-op campaign and Forge mode won't be here until sometime later this year at best did not go down all that well. Infinite has also experienced a significant drop-off when it comes to active players, especially on Steam.
343 has revealed details about the game's next major update, and it will be hoping the improvements on the docket will bring in any lapsed players. Perhaps the biggest takeaway from the blog post is the changes 343 is about to roll out for Infinite's campaign. Issues with achievements unlocking and the game's integration with Quick Resume will be addressed, perhaps as soon as later this week on February 24.

Outside of the potentially fixed problems with Infinite's campaign, 343 has also listed some wider issues that will be fixed by the game's imminent update. Reloading and clambering animations should run more smoothly after the update, and other stability issues on PC and console have also been tackled. There have also been improvements made to Infinite's anti-cheat system since nothing drives players away from a game like Infinite than the feeling the playing field isn't level.
If all goes to plan, 343's Infinite update will go live this Thursday, though the same post does add the full patch notes won't be available until next week.
