Dataminers and leaks suggest that Halo Infinite could be getting a Battle Royale mode after all, and it may see a release sooner than expected. Fans flocked to the free-to-play multiplayer of Halo Infinite when it was first released more than six months ago. Players have been able to unlock plenty of cosmetics to set their Spartans apart from each other while enjoying cross-platform multiplayer with PC players. Unfortunately, the timed events and Battle Pass unlockables have failed to keep FPS fans interested in the sci-fi shooter for very long.
The Halo Infinite multiplayer started incredibly strong with record-breaking numbers of players when released a month before fans anticipated it. However, certain delays and a lack of new maps have caused many players to lose interest. 343 Industries continues to work hard on new multiplayer and single-player content with new maps and modes coming to Halo Infinite's multiplayer in Season 2. It has also promised that campaign co-op and the highly customizable Forge mode will arrive in subsequent seasons. But leaks suggest that players will also be treated to a Battle Royale mode in one of the upcoming seasons.

Forbes reported on leaks from Twitter user leaks_infinite, which has posted a lot of information on the rumored mode. Tweets suggest the mode has been given the codename Tatanka. Pictures and information detail customizable settings, mode options, and a player count that suggests that bots will be featured in matches.
