Guillermo del Toro is bringing a new horror anthology series called Cabinet of Curiosities to Netflix later this fall and up until now, there wasn't a ton known about the series. One of the only things that were known about the Netflix series is that it is based on the book of short stories by the same name but now a first look is shedding more light on the eight-episode series.
Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities is apparently the famed director's attempt to further shake up the horror genre in a very big way for the streaming platform. The series is not only aiming to shake up horror in general but it's also going to be presented in a unique way on Netflix. The series is going to be part of a Netflix & Chills Halloween event where the first two episodes will launch on October 25, and then another two will launch every day until October 28 when the entire run will be on the streaming platform.

On Monday, the people behind Guillermo del Toro's latest project gave a look at just what people can expect once the calendar reaches spooky season. In addition to a brand-new trailer where the director himself explains the aim of Cabinet of Curiosities, there's also a bunch of new photos that show off some of the stars of the show as well as the monsters they'll be running from.
