In this chapter, you have the opportunity to collect five Galactic Compendium Items, initiating conversations with Groot (with Rocket translating), Gamora, Rocket, Drax, and Gamora again. If you're interested in these characters, it's worth taking the time to explore the ship before you advance the plot. What's the point of saving the world from a mind-controlling cult if you don't have friends to share it with?
If you found the Cold Case File Guardian Collectible in chapter five during your return to Hala’s Hope, you can finally talk to Groot about it. Head down to the exit area where the gang gathers before leaving for missions. On the yellow crate near the stairs, find the Cold Case File which will initiate a conversation with Groot, translated by Rocket, about Groot’s home planet and The Collector.
As long as you found Ko-Rel’s Galactic War Commendation (the spiky gold badge) in her office in chapter seven, It will now be waiting in Peter’s room. Look on the floor to the left of the poster of the blonde woman to find the badge and initiate a conversation with Gamora about Peter’s past with Ko-Rel and the war.
If you found the Deep Mine Device in chapter eight, you can now interact with it in Rocket’s room, on the desk by the computer.
Pick it up to trigger a conversation with Rocket about his love of tech and his distrust of “biologicals.”
