Obsidian Entertainment's survival-RPG Grounded has been updated to version 1.02 with adjustments to durability and game difficulty. Grounded was in early access for two years before officially launching as a full title on September 27th. The version 1.02 update builds off of the previous 1.01 update which was released just one week after the official release.
During the early access period, Grounded attracted over 1 million players. The unique suburban backyard setting is reminiscent of the classic 90s movie Honey, I Shrunk the Kids except with more tough bugs that will murder everyone in the game. Gamers can handle the games high difficulty by playing in online co-op mode with their friends. Working as a team increases everyone's odds of survival which are further improved by the 1.02 update adjustments to durability and difficulty.

Grounded version 1.02 is doubling base durability of most weapons and armors. Torches are also receiving a double durability update along with doubled duration. Increasing players survival odds is an overall decrease in damage and HP for some early tier 2 creatures. Mosquitos, a nuisance in real life but blood-sucking terrors in Grounded's backyard will not spawn until 1 Super Chip has been turned in. While there's no new enemy types in this update, a significant quality of life feature was also added with a «Sort» button now available on the inventory and storage screens.
One of the badges has been adjusted: the Toxicology badge now only provides 90% immunity to poison instead of full 100% immunity. Further player adjustments increase the stamina cost of staff attacks and BURG.L will now only give Artificer quests for items that the player has
