Bloomberg recently revealed details regarding Grand Theft Auto 6 in a new report. Of course, everything should be taken with a grain of salt until otherwise confirmed by the developer, but these new details are much more reliable than random internet rumors.
Rockstar Games Has Seemingly Gone on a Hiring Spree for Grand Theft Auto 6
First and foremost, Bloomberg reports that Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature a playable female protagonist for the first time in franchise history. She is a Latina woman and will be part of a pair of protagonists, whose stories are influenced by the infamous bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde. It’s not the first time this information has been said online, but this gives the idea more weight. More specifically, the report also states that developers are being cautious and avoiding “punch down” jokes about marginalized groups.
It also seems the Project Americas rumors had something to them, as Bloomberg says the original plan was to include large portions of both North and South America in the game. This ambition was reeled in, however, and is focused on a fictionalized Miami, which fans of the franchise will likely know to be Grand Theft Auto’s Vice City.
