Google Docs, one of the most preferred apps for typing and documentation work, is getting a new update that will make it more user friendly. The latest Google Doc update will make it easier for users to create and edit inline tables along with other new fixes and improvements. Google has shared this in one of its new blog posts. The tech giant wrote, “We’re adding several new ways to customize tables in Google Docs." As per the official statement, the new features include a sidebar to manage table properties, the ability to adjust rows, columns, and alignment of the table.

All the edits will be shown in the document in real-time, like every other change made in a Google Doc document. The new update will even allow users to drag a row or column to a different location as well as pin one or more rows in a table so that they can repeat on each page that the table appears on. This will make it easier to see column headers for long tables while scrolling through the document.

The new update will also enable users to designate a table row so that it does not appear half in between two pages. This will make the contents of the table to remain in their place giving users more control over formatting and layout.

Additionally, users will also be able to sort the rows of the tables in groups according to the type of content. The headers pinned to the table will remain at the top of the table.

That’s not all, Google has also brought the “multiple selection of separate text” feature for Google docs. This will help users cut down on a lot of repetitive work while formatting documents. Users can now select multiple texts from different sections of the docs. For example, if you have to select two sentences from different paragraphs or
