A recent update to God of War Ragnarök's PlayStation Store page has some fans wondering if the highly-anticipated sequel could be featured during tomorrow’s Summer Game Fest livestream. Sony Santa Monica announced the follow-up to its critically acclaimed God of War (2018) during last September’s PlayStation Showcase event, but while God of War Ragnarök is set to launch on both the PS4 and PS5 later this year, fans have yet to see an official release date. This has prompted some to wonder if God of War Ragnarök is being delayed a second time following its previous 2021 street date, though the developers at Sony Santa Monica have assured everyone that this isn’t the case.
There have been a few hints that God of War Ragnarök could be launching soon, or at the very least that its ever-elusive release date could finally be unveiled. A few weeks ago, South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee released its rating for God of War Ragnarök, and a batch of Kratos-centric merchandise was recently spotted online. Additionally, voice actor Ryan Hurst recently revealed that he was finished recording lines for God of War Ragnarök's villainous take on Thor, hinting that the game’s development is entering its final stages.

Tomorrow’s upcoming Summer Game Fest livestream would be a fitting time to release new information about God of War Ragnarök, and Twitter user mrpyo1 recently noticed a clue that the game could be shown off during this week’s festivities.
