Mihoyo is the Shanghai-based developer behind the super popular gacha RPG Genshin Impact. It also made the successful precursor to the title that transformed its fortunes, the genre mash-em-up Honkai Impact 3rd. Both games are known for their distinctive look, with characters drawn in the Japanese anime style.
Mihoyo is taking that Japanese influence further with its latest release (via PCGamesN). It isn't a mobile or console game, but an app designed for PC users. N0va Desktop – yes, the zero is correct – has launched on Steam in a 2.1.1 version and those who try the download will find an anime character called Lumi keeping them company.

The live wallpaper means users who click on the desktop will 'wake Lumi up'. However, the interactive wallpaper doesn't actually do that much. You can choose different outfits for Lumi and background colours but overall the level of interaction coming from Lumi isn't too deep. But there is also a cute looking cat accompanying her. It is more like a traditional wallpaper, although some may prefer something as simple as Lumi just hanging out there in the background. Those looking for livelier waifus will need to look elsewhere though.
A waifu – for those who don't know – refers to anime women who fans have a certain fondness for. And yes, the counterpart is husbando. Just to even things out, here's a wallpaper for those who may want some husbandos filling their screen.
