How do you feel about a Garena Free Fire edition phone? If you spend your free time earning kill points on Free Fire (got the word play?), Realme is making a phone just for you to bask in the glory. And the good thing is that this phone is based on the recently launched Realme 9 Pro+. Hence, it is bound to be a capable gaming phone that can run Garena Free Fire and Garena Free Fire MAX easily.
Realme is yet to reveal a launch date for this model but chances are it could happen within a few months. Realme hasn't shown how the phone is going to look but you can expect a dash of yellow along with some tastefully done graphics. After all, Realme does some of the best special edition phones, that too for several years. The Master Edition models on the Realme X and GT series hold proof of the same.
Along with a special paintjob, this phone could also feature a special theme embedded into Realme UI. As with previous Realme special edition models, the this one could be based on the top-end variant of the Realme 9 Pro+ and may come with a premium.
This isn't the first time Realme has done such a kind of collaboration. Realme has also been teasing the idea of bringing a Realme GT Neo 2 Dragon Ball Z special edition to India. This one already exists in global markets and has a special paintjob to celebrate the popular anime cartoon series.
Sadly, this collaboration comes at a time when Garena Free Fire has faced a ban by the Indian Government along with 53 other apps and games. Free Fire was found to be a clone of previously banned games and had dubious data management policies. India has been Free Fire's biggest market in the recent times.
While Free Fire is completely blocked on iPhone and Android, the latter still hosts Free Fire MAX
