It's still incredibly difficult for consumers to get their hands on a PlayStation 5, even as we near the console's two-year anniversary. One of the ways that gamers can make getting a PlayStation 5 console a little easier is by signing up for various retail rewards programs, like GameStop's PowerUp Rewards Pro program, for instance. This gives members first dibs on new console stock, and the next GameStop PS5 in-store restock has been announced for this weekend.
GameStop has sent out an email to customers detailing its next PS5 in-store restock, scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 16. Like its other recent restocks, one must be signed up for the GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro program to have the chance to purchase a PS5 console. The other caveat is that basic PS5 consoles won't be included in the restock; customers will have to pick between one of two PlayStation 5 console bundles. Specific pricing information is not available at the time of this writing, but one can expect to pay hundreds of dollars more than they would if they were able to buy a PS5 console by itself.
GameStop Hit With New Layoffs
Luckily, the GameStop PS5 bundles come with some items that new owners may want anyway. There will be two bundles available, with the first featuring the standard PlayStation 5 console with a disc drive. This one also comes with a Galactic Purple DualSense controller, a DualSense charging station, a copy of Call of Duty: Vanguard, and a $60 PlayStation Plus Essential subscription. The other bundle will feature the PS5 Digital Edition console, and it also comes with a Galactic Purple controller, charging station, and PS Plus subscription, but instead of Call of Duty: Vanguard it has a Pulse 3D Wireless Headset.
