GameStop will reportedly be selling a fresh batch of PlayStation 5 consoles at some of its stores this Friday.
According to highly reliable console restock trackers Jake Randall and Matt Swider, GameStop will make PS5 console bundles available to purchase at selected stores on January 14.
The retailer last sold PS5 and Xbox Series X console bundles at some of its stores on December 23, when the products were reserved for GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro members.
It hasn’t been confirmed if this will again be the case, although once the plans are officially announced, participating stores and customer eligibility should be listed on GameStop’s PS5 sale event webpage.
Priced at $14.99 / $19.99 annually depending on the chosen package, GameStop Pro membership provides users with loyalty rewards, extra trade in credit, a Game Informer subscription, and access to exclusive offers and events.
Randall speculates that PS5 consoles will likely be bundled with two games, an extra DualSense controller, and a GameSpot gift card for around $750-$800.
GameStop is currently selling a pair of Xbox Series X console bundles online, with one priced at $704 and the other at $753. They initially went on sale on Tuesday for $750 and $775, but their prices have since been reduced.
Sony has reportedly extended PS4 production because PS5 remains in short supply due to component constraints.

Earlier today Sony revealed the most downloaded PS4, PS5 and PS VR games of 2021 in the US/Canada and Europe.
