From Not To Hot: Mama June's Ex Gene Doak Loses 70 Pounds In Rehab
Geno Doak, the former boyfriend of Mama June: From Not To Hot star June Shannon, dropped 70 pounds in six months thanks to a stint in a rehab facility. Before rehab, Geno was hospitalized in Fort Pierce, Florida, after he tried taking his life by overdosing on blood pressure pills. His actions led to Mama June recommending a rehab center for him in South Carolina.
Before his hospital case, Geno was in a legal crisis for his involvement in a cocaine case in Alabama. The 46-year-old businessman was sentenced to 16 months in Macon, Alabama Community Corrections after being charged with joint drug allegations alongside June, 42. At the time of the former couple's arrest, a spokesperson for the District Attorney's Office of Macon County noted that June was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, while Geno was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence/harassment, felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Thankfully, Geno appeared ready to turn to a new leaf after the series of dramatic events.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Geno said he has lost 70 pounds after spending six months in a rehab center following his attempt at suicide. He credited the treatment facility he is in for helping him to stay focused and get fit. According to Geno, the rehab center helps prepare his meals, keeping him on a better eating schedule. He said he no longer takes late-night meals and fast foods. Geno focuses on eating right, cutting out foods like pasta and bread, and eating more tuna and chicken.
