Francis Ford Coppola's acclaimed adaption of Bram Stoker's Dracula is returning to shelves with an exclusive steelbook release. The iconic monster is a cornerstone of horror to this day as the most represented fictional character in movie and TV history, with a filmography that continues to grow, soon adding Nicolas Cage's Count Dracula in Universal's horror-comedy Renfield. In one of the more well-received and profitable big screen versions of Stoker's story, Oscar-winner Coppola took on the vampire in his 1992 feature film starring Gary Oldman, who acted alongside a cast filled with A-listers.
Now, Sony reveals that in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Bram Stoker's Dracula, the movie is being released as a limited edition 4K UHD steelbook. Coupled with the special packaging will be a host of new special features, including the original theatrical English subtitle font for on-screen text, the «Love Song For A Vampire» music video by Annie Lennox, and a featurette titled Blood Lines – Dracula: The Man, The Myth, The Movies.

Apart from these three new features and steelbook casing, the bonus materials and disc specifications appear consistent with Sony's 25th Anniversary 4K release, including retrospectives with Coppola. The announcement lacks the MSRP and a preview of the steelbook artwork, so collectors may wish to wait until seeing the design before committing to this product. On the other hand, diehard fans of the movie should find the release exciting, because of the interesting new features showcasing its vividly unique aesthetic and score.
