Fortnite has managed to stay at the front of the battle royale pack since first launching back in 2017. Over its five years of existence, the title remains popular not only because of its winning formula, but the constant tweaks and updates it makes to that formula. This remains true with Fortnite's latest patch, which makes some interesting and significant changes.
Epic Games' ever-popular free-to-play title is in its third week of Chapter 3 Season 2. The current season has proven to be heavily divisive amongst fans, completely getting rid of building for the first couple weeks. Building has since returned to the island, with Fortnite's recently introduced Zero Build Mode becoming a formal counterpart to the game's standard modes.

Fortnite's v20.10 update patch adds an all-new piece of content to the game, while reintroducing and rebalancing a variety of weapons. The biggest addition from the update is a major conflict taking place in The Daily Bugle. Players must help the Resistance fight to take back the Spider-Man location from the IO, taking on a hefty amount of IO Guards. The update also unvaults the Heavy Sniper Rifle, which has been reworked to deal bonus damage against vehicles. A handful of weapons have had their damage reduced, including the Combat and Stinger SMG, and the MK-Seven and Combat Assault Rifle.
For the skirmish at The Daily Bugle, the battle will commence once players have entered the area, somewhat similar to Fortnite's Sideways encounters of Chapter 2 Season 8. Players must successfully clear three waves of IO Guards in order to reclaim the POI, although they'll have help from several Seven Sentry AI, which will spawn
