Fortnite continues to keep its massive player base engaged through a nearly constant stream of gameplay updates and new quests for players to tackle. One of those quests requires players to ignite structures, and while a fairly straightforward task, there are a few places on the island where fire-starting items are most plentiful.
Epic Games' massively popular free-to-play battle royale title is in the final few weeks of its Chapter 3 Season 2. The rollercoaster of a season initially divided fans after Fortnite's signature building mechanic was temporarily removed. In more recent weeks, Fortnite has been unvaulting long-dormant weapons like the Air Strike and Sideways Rifle and Minigun.

Igniting structures in Fortnite can be achieved by using one of the island's items that cause fire damage. Such items include things like Firefly Jars and Gas Cans, as well as the newer Repair Torches. While Repair Torches are a bit rarer to find, they hold the greatest fire-setting potential. However, Firefly Jars and Gas Cans have consistent spawn points. For Firefly Jars, the best place to go is around the river in between Greasy Grove and Tilted Towers, with nearly a dozen firefly spawns. The highest Gas Can concentration is on the bridge northeast of The Fortress.
While Firefly Jars ignite structures shortly after impact, Gas Cans must be shot to explode. Players can alternatively fire off a few rounds at Gas Station pumps, which should destroy most of the immediate area.
