Ali-A is the first UK YouTuber to join Fortnite as a skin and Epic Games has rolled out the red carpet for him.
Several streamers and internet personalities, like Ninja and TheGrefg, have already made their way into Fortnite as unlockable skins and now Epic Games has announced that Alastair ‘Ali-A’ Aiken is the next to join the line-up.
This makes Ali-A the first UK based figure to be added to the battle royale. He lives in Woking, Surrey and is regarded as one of the top YouTubers in the the UK, with 17.5 million subscribers.
It’s a little surprising he hasn’t made it into the game sooner, as he’s one of the longest running Fortnite content creators out there, making videos ever since the game released in 2017.
How to get the Ali-A Fortnite skinHis skin will become available in the in-game shop from 1am BST on Friday, May 20 (that’s 5pm PT/8pm ET on Thursday, May 19).
If you’re such a diehard fan that you can’t wait until then, you can unlock it early by scoring enough points in the Ali-A Cup on Wednesday, May 18.
Epic Games seem to be big fans, since his skin comes with seven alternate variants, giving him different kinds of armour and even multiple colour options. Not even Ninja had this much variety.
On top of that, there are several other related cosmetics like a themed pickaxe, glider, and wrap for your weapons. They’ll release alongside the skin and you can see them all via the official Fortnite website.
The Ali-A Experience has already begun on a separate Ali-A island (yes, he gets his own island too) and you’ll need to play some matches there to complete the Ali-A quest.
It only involves eliminating 15 other players though, which will reward you with an Ali-A Was Here spray.
