Timed exclusives are a fairly intriguing concept to many gamers, giving certain games to certain platform users firs before eventually releasing the title to everyone else. STALKER 2, for example, has set itself up to release on PlayStation around six months after it initially drops for Microsoft's platforms. Even on PC, gamers may have to use one launcher over another should they want to play a game at launch. Borderlands 3 started its shelf life on the Epic Games Store over Steam. Now, Exo One is making the leap to another platform, after spending time on Xbox and PC.
Exo One is an interesting sci-fi game developed by Exbleative and published by Future Friends Games. It sees players take on the role of a space-faring vessel, with gameplay revolving around increasing speed and releasing gravity to glide through the skies and atmospheres of uninhabited worlds at speed. Exo One was praised for its unique style of gameplay, impressive visuals and storytelling.

While the narrative does take somewhat of a backseat in Exo One, there is a story to be explored centered around an interplanetary mission gone wrong. The player will pick up pieces of the story as they follow a strange signal from level to level, slowly learning more about the details of the mission. The game received generally favorable reviews for both Xbox and PC. In a recent trailer, PlayStation confirmed that it would be heading to the platform in summer 2022. A few other titles are said to be making their way to PlayStation around this time too, such as the indie game Stray, where players become a stray cat.
