Getting a character or item named after you in game is really one of the most special things that can happen for a World of Warcraft fan. It is our great pleasure to report that Aerythlea, former Project Manager and WoW Community Manager in the Blizzard Versailles office, has received this honor. As a CM, Aerythlea worked really hard to promote an old-school community vibe and this recognition of her efforts is well deserved. Aerythlea shared her tribute character's addition on Twitter. Congratulations Aerythlea! Aerythlea joined the GM team in Cork, Ireland in 2008 and in 2015 joined the European Community team in Versailles, France, becoming a «blue.» In 2019 she announced that she was leaving Blizzard and moving on to new adventures. From her farewell post:
I’ve always vowed to give back to the community as much as I could. While as a Community Manager the fruits of that labour often could not be shared, I have always been there – reading your forum posts, tweets, and reddit banter. Lurking in your discords. Watching your video content and streams. Always forwarding on your thoughts and feedback. Your boundless energy, creativity, passion, hunger, (and sometimes scathing humour) has always inspired and humbled me every single day. I count it as a blessing that I was able to meet some of you in person at events, and geek out about the game we love. You can visit Aerythlea in Silvermoon City, happily reading a book near the Royal Exchange, and follow her on Twitter @ashliiful.
