Flash's Most Powerful Ally Makes Even Superman Look Weak

While fighting Eclipso in Gemworld, the Flash got some pretty unexpected help from the most powerful ally in existence — one who makes even Superman look underpowered. This happens in The Flash #779. The issue was written by Jeremy Adams with art from Fernando Pasarin, Matt Ryan and Brent Peeples.
Recently, Wally West has taken over for Barry Allen as the main Flash of the DC Universe. After going on a pretty crazy fourth-wall breaking trip with Doctor Fate, the Flash enters Gemworld and finds the Justice League Dark waiting for him. They are there to stop Eclipso from harnessing the realm's power and spreading his mind-controlling influence over the entire universe.

At one point, Eclipso becomes so powerful he takes over everyone in Gemworld, including the entire Justice League Dark. However, the Flash is immune to Eclipso's influence, even though he can't figure out why. By the end of the story, Flash gains some assistance from his children and Animal Man's daughter in order to stop Eclipso using a magical glaive, whose sudden appearance on Earth kickstarted this whole adventure. Once Eclipso is defeated, the Spectre arrives to reclaim the glaive and implies that it was the Presence — DC's version of God — who was watching over the Flash and prevented him from being controlled by Eclipso.
Although the exact word «God» is never used, it is heavily implied by the characters' gestures and the context of the scene — not to mention Spectre's role as the divine spirit of vengeance - that the Almighty is who is being talked about. The Flash even awkwardly points to the sky, indicating who he is referring to
