Earlier this year, Nintendo revealedFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, the unexpected and surprising sequel to 2017's Fire Emblem Warriors. Unlike the prior entry, which was a crossover title between some of the most popular Fire Emblem titles like Awakening, Three Hopes will exclusively focus on the cast and setting of 2019's Fire Emblem: Three Houses. More specifically, it will take place in an alternate timeline of events that sees the three house leaders Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude in a new adventure separate from what fans saw in Three Houses.
Alongside this new set of events that put the game's plot into motion, Nintendo gave fans a look at the new looks that each house leader would be spotting after the game's time skip. It also had fans speculating which characters would end up returning and who would be playable, given the cast of students inFire Emblem: Three Houses. While the game has already confirmed the three house leaders and new protagonist Shez as playable characters, Nintendo has placed a spotlight on two more playable characters: Hilda and Hubert.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Will Have Branching Paths At the Start
Hilda Goneril is a student from the Golden Deer House as well as Claude's retainer. Fans know her to be described to be spoiled and lazy, but an incredible asset to their army when built accordingly. Hilda is typically seen using an axe weapon, and Three Hopes will continue this trend by giving her a heroic relic from House Goneril, Freikugel. In a brief gameplay clip uploaded by Nintendo, Hilda can be seen using the axe and smashing her opponents with a special attack that breaks apart the ground.
