In late April, Final Fantasy 14 introduced a new high-difficulty raid called the Dragonsong’s Reprise (Ultimate). Just recently, Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of theFinal Fantasy series, announced he would be challenging the newest Final Fantasy 14 Ultimate raid alongside his raid group.
During his time at Square Enix, Sakaguchi was heavily involved in every Final Fantasy game it released all the way through Final Fantasy 10-2. He later went on to found Mistwalker, the studio responsible for the diorama adventure RPG Fantasian.

Final Fantasy 14’s new Ultimate raid is a massive, seven-phase fight that reprises many of the battles across Heavensward and cranks them up to maximum difficulty. Now that some players have begun to clear the difficult battle, Sakaguchi is stepping up to try the battle himself.
Sakaguchi has yet to say how the fight has gone for him and his team, but it will likely take some time before he completes it. Dragonsong’s Reprise is the most difficult Ultimate raid in Final Fantasy 14 so far, and it took teams of hardcore raiders over a week to clear it for the first time. However, Sakaguchi has already defeated the Pandaemonium (Savage) raids, so with enough time and practice, he should be able to conquer the challenge.
Sakaguchi beganFinal Fantasy 14 at the end of September last year. In just over a month, he had blazed a trail through the Main Scenario up through Shadowbringers, allowing him to play through Endwalker with the rest of the community. From there, he began branching out and experiencing other content in Final Fantasy 14, from raids and dungeons to side quests. He even began leveling his crafters and created an in-game faux-fashion
