Final Fantasy 16‘s next trailer could be released next month, according to the game’s producer.
Speaking during TGS at the Japan Game Awards, Naoki Yoshida said that the developer will “probably release the trailer next month”.
In response to being asked about the trailer, which Yoshida had previously claimed would release during the fall, Yoshida said (via Gematsu): “I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to the marketing or public relations teams at all, so I’m not sure how much I’m allowed to say…”
“But I think we’ll probably be able to release the next trailer next month or so… And after that, I hope to be able to give a rough idea of when it will be released.”
Final Fantasy 16’s last trailer was shown during Sony’s June State of Play stream. The trailer showed off the new combat system as well as the large-scale battles that will feature in the game.
Yoshida recently claimed that the game is near the end of development. That’s after he said last December that Final Fantasy XVI’s development had fallen almost half a year behind schedule.
Earlier this year Naoki Yoshida said that the reason Final Fantasy 16 doesn’t feature turn-based combat is so that the game will to appeal to a younger audience.
Elsewhere in the interview, Yoshida claimed that an open-world version of Final Fantasy 16 would take “15 years to make”.
